Blind Rivets

Blind rivets are installed in a tight hole that passes through the materials being riveted.

Whilst holding the rivet in place, a mandrel is used to pull the rivet back.

As it is pulled back it pushes the sides of the rivet outwards until the mandrel snaps. 

This increased size forms the back side of the rivet which holds the materials together.
